Welcome Founded 5th May 1969, we are a friendly chess club serving the Sedgley and Dudley area of the West Midlands. We meet on Tuesday evenings throughout the year and welcome all players from beginners to masters.

Practical Tips to success lecture - Tues 14th July @ 7:45pm to 9pm Andrew will be giving a talk on tips and hints to improve your play. Make sure you do not miss this chance to prepare for the new season!
New Grades due in July 2009 here This years grades are being re-calculated and most players will see their grade increased. Generally the lower the grade the more the uplift. This is due to the long term statistical stretching of the old system.
Seasons Best Results here Chris Heathcock picked up the best third team result, with Barry Smith taking the runner-up second team cup. However, Derek Perks once again put in an excellent season and retained the overall trophy! That's the third time in 5 years. Thanks go again to Ken for doing the stats.
Christmas Tournament 2008 result In an action packed evening Andrew McCumiskey shared with Mike Share the 'A' Group section. Chris Heathcock convincingly won the 'B' group with a maximum 7 out of 7. See here for the cross-table and here for photo. Thanks to Chris B for the excellent food. |
