Welcome Founded 5th May 1969, we are a friendly chess club serving the Sedgley and Dudley area of the West Midlands. We meet on Tuesday evenings throughout the year and welcome all players from beginners to masters.

New Grades are finally out here This years grades are out and show no major surprises. Dave Jeffs still has no grade but will still be on a high board in the first team.
Mercia Champions of BDCL Div 4 A defaulted board last night in the match vs relegated Sutton Coldfield assured Mercia of the title.
Xmas Blitz Tournament will now be held in the Summer.
Happy 40th! Mercia is exactly 40 years old! We hope to be organising some special events through the season to celebrate our anniversary.
